Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the aforesaid Ellis Rey-
nolds, shall in every instance, before he proceeds to the
collection, make affidavit, or affirm before some justice of
the peace of said county, that the same remains unpaid, and
that he has not received any security or satisfaction for the
same, or any part thereof, more than what credits may be
allowed therein.
Sec, 8. And be it enacted, That this act shall not con-
tinue in force longer than one year from the passage of this
act.

CHAPTER 73.

 

An act for the benefit of Anna Maria Beyers, a lunatic, of
Carroll County.

8, 1842.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of tax of Carroll county, be and
they are hereby authorized in their discretion, to levy upon
the assessable property of said county, a sum of money not
exceeding fifty dollars, for the use of Anna Maria Beyers,
a lunatic, to be paid to such trustee as the said commission-
ers may appoint.

CHAPTER 74.

 

An act relating to the Levy Court of Queen Ann's County.

5, 1842.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That so much of the seventh section of the act
passed at December session, eighteen hundred and twenty-
eight, chapter fourteen, as requires the levy court of Queen
Ann's county, to set every day during the spring term of
the county court, be and the same is hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the justices of the levy
court aforesaid, may and they arc hereby authorized to
meet as often as in their judgment, occasion may require,
between the first day of April, and last day of May, in each
and every year, for the purposes mentioned in the said sec-
