LAWS OF MARYLAND.
oysters or terrapins, in the waters of Synnapuxent Bay, and
its tributaries, within the limits of Worcester county; and
any person violating the provisions of this act, shall be sub-
ject to a fine not exceeding fifty dollars, to be recovered
before some justice of the peace for the county aforesaid,
one half to be paid over to the informer, the other half to
the commissioners of said county.

An act to authorize the Trustees of Worcester County, to
receive into the Alms House, a negro man named Stephen
Kitchens, of said County.

To admit into
alms-house a
negro man.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the trustees of the poor of Worcester county, are
hereby authorized and required to receive into the alms
house, negro Stephen Kitchens, the property of a certain
Catharine Redden, of the county aforesaid.

An act to authorize Eliza R. W. Waters, to make a sale
and conveyance of a lot of ground to the Trustees of
Washington Academy.

Preamble.
To convey
certain real
estate.
|
Whereas, it is represented to this General Assembly,
the infant children of Levin L. Waters, late of Somerset
county, deceased, are seized and possessed of a plantation
in the immediate vicinity of Princess Ann, in Somerset
county, and that the trustees of Washington Academy are
desirous of purchasing a lot for the use of said academy,
being part of the said real estate, and are willing to pay
more than the Full value thereof, —therefore,
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Eliza R. W. Waters, widow of the said
Levin L. Waters, and mother of, and actual guardian to the
said infant children, be and she is hereby authorized and em-
powered to sell and convey to the said trustees of Wash-
ington academy, a lot of ground, being a parcel of the said
real estate, not exceeding three acres in the whole, upon
such terms as the said Eliza, in her judgment and discretion,
may believe to be to the interest and advantage of her said
infant children.
