1841.

road, and to cause the same to be surveyed, and a plat there-
of, and of the valuation and condemnation of lands as afore-
said, and the expenses attending the execution of the act, to
be returned to the levy court of Prince George's county,
and any person conceiving himself aggrieved by the pro-
ceedings and return of the commissioners, may object to the
ratification thereof, before the said levy court, and when fi-
nally ratified by the court, it shall be filed and recorded
among the public records of the county.

chap. 229.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the said levy court,
shall after said ratification, levy a sum or sums of money
sufficient to defray all said expenses, and to pay to the own-
ers of said lands, the amount awarded to them respectively
by said commissioners, and From and after said levy, the
road that may be located as aforesaid, shall be deemed and
taken as a public road, and kept at the expense of the coun-
ty.

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That the said commissioners
shall take an oath that they will well and faithfully execute
the provisions of this act, and shall be entitled to receive
two dollars for every day that they may attend in the execu-
tion of this act, and shall give at least ten days notice to the
proprietors of the land along the rout herein indicated, before
they proceed to act

CHAPTER 229.

 

An act for the regulation of the inspection of Tobacco, in
Prince Georges County.

Passed March
7, 1842.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That it shall he the duty of the levy court of
said county annually, before the first day of February, to
recommend one suitable person to the governor for the of-
fice of inspector of Tobacco, at each of the warehouses
in said county to be nominated to the senate, and if confirm-
ed shall be commissioned as such, and before any person
appointed inspector shall act as such, he shall give bond to
the State of Maryland, with security to be approved by the
said court, in the penalty of ten thousand dollars, condition-
ed for his faithful performance of the office of inspector,
and of the duties imposed on him by law, and shall make-
oath or affirmation well and truly to perform and execute
his said office of inspector according to law, and the said
bonds shall he recorded in the clerks office of said county,
and may be put in suit for the use of the county, and an
office copy of said bond shall be evidence in any court.
