said county, and bonded and acted as postmaster for said
village whilst he was doing business as a justice of the
peace as aforesaid, thereby rendering doubtful the validity
of his acts as a justice of the peace—therefore,

Acts made
valid.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
all the acts of William D. Voshell, as justice of the peace,
subsequent to his appointment as postmaster of Bridgetown,
be and the same are hereby declared to he of as full force
and effect in law, as if the said William D. Voshell had not
been appointed postmaster as aforesaid.

A supplement to an act passed April first, eighteen hun-
dred and thirty-nine, authorizing the Commissioners of
Baltimore County, to appoint Commissioners to build a
Bridge over Western Run, on the Pimlico Road, over
said run, near the Upper Pimlico Factory.

Preamble.
|
Whereas, the commissioners of Baltimore county were
authorized by an act passed April first, eighteen hundred
and thirty-nine, to levy upon the assessable properly of said
county, the sum of five hundred dollars, for the purpose of
building a bridge over the Western run in said county; and
whereas, the bridge commissioners thought it advisable to
build said bridge below the original bed of said road, which
made it necessary to change the bed of said road on either
side of the bridge; and whereas, the amount levied was more
than was necessary for the building of said bridge; and
whereas, the alteration will require considerable labor and
expense to make it passable—therefore,

Appropriate
surplus.
|
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the commissioners of Baltimore county,
be and they are hereby authorized to appropriate the sur-
plus, over and above the cost of building said bridge, to
the opening, excavating and making passable said road on
the Pimlico Hills, on either side of said bridge.

Appoint su-
pervisor.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the commissioners of
Baltimore county, appoint some suitable person as supervi-
sor to make said road, and said supervisor shall he allowed
the same rates of pay for himself and laborers per day, as
are now allowed by the commissioners on all public roads
in said county.
