FRANCIS THOMAS, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

1841.

to the completion of a road leading from Ellicotts' Mills, and
passing through the lands of Charles S. W. Dorsey, Theo-
dore R. S. Boyce and Allen Thomas to the road leading
from Hilton to Elkridge Landing; provided, that the said
commissioners shall be satisfied that said three hundred dol-
lars will be sufficient to complete said road, and that the
right of way over the, where said road is located shall have
been made public.

CHAP. 139.
Proviso.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said commissioners
of Howard District, shall appoint such commissioner or
commissioners, as they may think proper to apply the said
sum of three hundred dollars as aforesaid.

CHAPTER 138.

 

An act relative to the School Fund of Washington County.

26, 1842.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the President of the school fund of Wash-
ington county, on the first Monday of September next, and
annually thereafter, state the amount of the capital fund, and
the amount annually expended of said fund in the several
election districts of Washington county.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of
the commissioners of Washington county, to have the same
published in the several newspapers published in Hagers-
town.

CHAPTER 139.

 

An act entitled, an act to make valid Judgments therein
mentioned.

26, 1812.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That all judgments heretofore rendered by any
justice of the peace, in any case in which the warrant of
the justice made the same returnable, the justice issuing the
same, or some other justice of the peace, without mention-
ing any other justice by name, be and the same are hereby
declared to be good and valid judgments, in the same man-
ner and to the same extent, that said judgments would have
been good and valid, if the warrant upon which said judg-
ments were rendered had been special warrants, returnable
