LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAP. 140.
Proviso

before the justice issuing the same or some other justice
named and specified in said warrants; provided, that this act
shall have no effect or operation with respect to judgments
rendered as aforesaid, which prior to the passage of this act
shall have been reversed on appeal to the county court of
any county.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That in all cases now pend-
ing on warrants made returnable as aforesaid, in which final
may not have been rendered, no exception shall be taken to
the form of the warrants, but said cases shall be decided
upon their merits, as if said warrants had been in due form
of law.

be effectual

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That all sales under execu-
tions in due form of law issued upon judgments, rendered in
cases in which the warrant was made returnable as afore-
said, shall have the same effect and operation in law to vest
the title in the purchaser, as if said warrant had been in due
form of law.

An act to incorporate the Episcopal Church, in Leitersburg,
Washington County.

Incorporated.

Section !. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Henry Smith, Samuel Frankinberry, John
Brown, John Johnson and J. R. Humphries, shall and are
hereby created and declared to be a body politic and cor-
porate, by the name, style, and title of the Trustees of the

Methodist Episcopal Church of Leitersburg, and by the
same name shall have succession, to have, hold, enjoy, and
be seized and possessed of real, personal, and mixed estate,
to sell and convey the same, to sue and be sued, plead and
be impleaded, in any court of law or equity in this State,
or elsewhere, to make and have a common seal, and the

same to break, alter and renew at pleasure, and also to es-
tablish such by-laws and ordinances as shall appear neces-
sary for regulating the temporal concerns of the said church;
provided, the same be not inconsistent with the laws of this
State, or the riles of discipline which have been or may
be established by the competent and legal authorities of the
Methodist Episcopal Church, in Maryland.
