CHAPTER 64.

A supplement to an act, entitled an act to incorporate the
Town of Havre- de-Grace, in Harford County, passed at
December session, eighteen hundred and thirty-nine,
chapter two hundred and sixty-seven.

CHAP. 64.

Passed Feb. 11,
1841.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the ninth section of the act to which this
is a supplement, be and the same is hereby repealed; and
also the eleventh section of the said original act, be and the
same is hereby repealed.

Repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the limits of the said
town of Havre-de-Grace shall commence, to wit: beginning
for the same at the north end of Lycoming-street, of said
town, as designated in a map thereof, made by Septimus
Norris, in the year eighteen hundred and thirty-eight, and
running thence in a straight line with said street, north-
erly three-fourths of a mile, thence easterly in a line pa-
rallel with Huron-street of said town, to the east side of the
embankment of the Tide Water Canal, thence by and with
said embankment and improvements of said embankment to
the out-let lock of said canal, thence by and with the Sus-
quehanna river and Chesapeake bay to the east end of Po-
comoco-street, of said town, thence by and with Pocomoco-
street, until it intersects Columbia-street, thence in a
straight line to the intersection of Alliance and Lycoming-
street, and thence by and with Lycoming-street, to the
place of beginning.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the commissioners elect-
ed on the first Monday of January, eighteen hundred and
forty-one, shall have, possess and exercise all the powers
over the limits for said town of Havre-de-Gracc, defined
in this act, as the act to which this is a supplement confers
on said commissioners, over the limits mentioned in the
ninth section of the act to which this is a supplement.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the citizens within the
limits of said town of Havre-de-Gracc defined in this act,
shall on the first Monday in January, eighteen hundred and
forty-two, and annually thereafter, elect commissioners as is
prescribed in the act to which this is a supplement; and the
said commissioners shall have and exercise all the powers
prescribed in the act to which this is a supplement.
