CHAPTER 44.
An act to confirm and make valid a Deed of Conveyance
from Henry Friday, Senr., to Henry Friday, Jr., and
Frederick Friday of Frederick County.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland
That the deed of conveyance from Henry Friday, sr.
to Henry Friday, jr., and Frederick Friday, bearing date
on the eighth day of April, eighteen hundred and thirty-
nine, and recorded in the office of the clerk of Frederick
county court, and conveying to Henry Friday, jr., and Fre-
derick Friday, certain real estate in Frederick county, par-
ticularly described in said deed, for the consideration of
two hundred and fifty-three dollars, be and the same is
hereby confirmed and made valid, and the title to the real
estate therein described, shall be held to be as fully vested
in the grantees, therein named, in all respects, as though
the grantor at the time of the execution thereof, had been
a naturalized citizen of the United States.

An act to repeal the several acts passed at December ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and thirty-nine, chapters seventy-
nine, ninety -two and ninety-four, and allowing to the She-
riffs of Queen Anne's, Caroline and Talbot Counties
eight per cent, commission for the collection of fees.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act,
the several acts passed at December session, eighteen hun-
dred ami thirty-nine, chapters seventy-nine, ninety-two and
ninety-four, granting to the sheriffs of Queen Anne's, Ca-
roline and Talbot counties twelve and a half per cent, com-
mission for the collection and paying over of officers and
attorneys fees, be and the same are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That from and after the pas-
sage of this act, the sheriffs of Queen Anne's, Caroline and
Talbot counties shall have and receive eight per cent, com-
mission for the collection and paying over of officers and
attorneys fees.
