CHAPTER 41.
An act to provide for repairing the Court House in Prince
George's County.
|

Levy of $300
authorised
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the levy court of Prince George's county be, and they
are hereby authorised to have done such repairs to the
court house in said county and its enclosure, as they may
think necessary, and to levy a sum of money sufficient to
pay the cost thereof, not exceeding the sum of three hun-
dred dollars.

A supplement to an act, entitled an act relating to the City
of Baltimore, passed at December session, eighteen hun-
dred and seventeen.

Time of meet-
ing changed.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the annual session of the city council of Baltimore, shall
hereafter commence on the third Monday of January, in
each and every year, any thing in any act of Assembly to the
contrary notwithstanding.

An act to give the Magistrates of Baltimore City jurisdic-
tion in cases herein mentioned.

Magistrates to
have jurisdic-
tion in case of
exaction of too
much toll, &c.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That jurisdiction be hereby granted to any magistrate in the
city of Baltimore, in all cases in which the keeper of the
toll-gate (now within the limits of the city of Baltimore) on
the Baltimore and Washington turnpike road, receives a
larger sum for toll than is required by the charter of the
aforesaid turnpike road.
