Resolution appointing Directors in the Baltimore and Sus-
quehanna Rail Road Company.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
John Spear Smith, Robert Purviance, senior, William S.
Winder, William G. Harrison and Shepherd C. Leakin, be
and they are hereby appointed directors on behalf of this
State in the Baltimore and Susquehanna Rail Road Com-
pany.
Resolved, That the President of the Senate, and Speaker
of the House of Delegates address a joint letter to each of
the above named gentlemen, informing them, respectively,
of their said appointment.

Resolution in favor of Chaplains.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to the Reverend
Mr. Guest and the Reverend Mr. McElhiney, or order,
one hundred dollars each, as a compensation for their ser-
vices as Chaplains during the present session of the Legis-
lature.

Resolutions in relation to a compilation of the Election
Laws.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the State Librarian be, and he is hereby authorised and re-
quired to prepare, and cause to be reprinted, a compilation
of the election laws now in force in this State, and have
five hundred copies thereof printed; and that the same be
distributed among the counties and cities in this State, so
that the judges of elections for each district shall receive
one copy thereof.
Resolved, That the clerks of the several county courts
shall, under the penalty of fifty dollars, deliver to the she--
