RESOLUTIONS.

Resolved, That our Representatives and Senators in Con-
gress be requested to aid in the enactment of a law requir-
ing the election for electors of President and Vice Presi-
dent of the United States to be held on the same day
throughout the Union.
Resolved, That a copy of the foregoing resolutions be
transmitted to our Senators and Representatives in Con-
gress, and to be by them laid before their respective bo-
dies.

Resolution appointing Directors in the Baltimore and Ohio
Rail Road Company.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
William Cooke, John Spear Nicholas, Samuel I. Donald-
son, George Brown, Hugh Birckhead, William S. McPher-
son, George Howard, Samuel W. Smith, John S. Donnell
and Neilso Poe, be and they are hereby appointed direc-
tors on the part of this State in the Baltimore and Ohio
Rail Road Company.
Resolved, That the President of the Senate, and Speaker
of the House of Delegates address a joint letter to each of
the above named gentlemen, informing, them, respectively,
of their said appointment.

Resolution in favor of John Quynn and Andrew Slicer.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to Andrew Sli-
cer, Messenger to the Senate, and John Quynn, Door
Keeper to the House of Delegates, sixty dollars each, for
taking care of their respective rooms and furniture during
the recess of the Legislature, until December session, eigh-
teen hundred and forty-one.
