An act to make valid and confirm the Official Acts of John
B. Joy, a Justice of the Peace, in and for Calvert
County, and State of Maryland.

WHEREAS, John B. Joy, of Calvert county, was appoint-
ed and duly commissioned one of the justices of the peace,
in and for the county and State aforesaid, by the name of
George Joy; and whereas, the said John B. Joy has, in
virtue of the commission aforesaid, done and performed
many official acts, and the said acts being null and void:
Therefore,

Preamble.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That all and every official act or acts, heretofore done and
performed, or that may hereafter be done and performed
by the said Joy, under his commission aforesaid, shall be
good and valid in law.

An additional supplement to an act, passed at December
session, eighteen hundred and thirty-three, chapter one
hundred and ten.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the farm now owned and occupied by William I.
Ford, called Jackson's Creek, situated in Piney Neck,
Queen Ann's county, shall be attached, to, and included
within the primary school district, now established in said
neck, and shall be liable to taxation for the support of said
school, and shall have all the privileges and benefits of said
school, in the same manner and to the same extent as if
said farm had always belonged to said district.
