CHAP. 137.

berland road, commonly called. Old Location, which is
situated immediately in front of his residence, and lying
south of the road styled New Location, from the point on
said old location, where the Cresaptown road crosses the
old turnpike, leading to said Percy's tavern, to where the
eld location intersects or meets the new location of said
road.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall not be so
construed, as to allow said Percy to stop or blockade the
public highway in any manner whatsoever, save as above
described.

CHAPTER 136.

Passed Feb. 27,
1841.

An act to authorise the Commissioners for Somerset
County, to allow additional compensation to their Clerk,
for certain extra services therein mentioned.

To allow $50
additional.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners for Somerset county, be and they
are hereby authorised to allow to Edward M. Wise, their
clerk, the sum of fifty dollars, in addition to the sum al-
ready allowed by law for making out a new set of hooks,
in which were raised accounts against all tax-payers in the
said county, under the late assessment in said county;
the said sum to be levied and collected as other county
charges.

CHAPTER 137.

Passed Feb. 27,
1841.

An act, entitled an act to enlarge the Fifth Election Dis-
trict, in Baltimore County, known by the name of the
White House District.

5th district ex-
tended.

Designated.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act,
the south-western line of the fifth election district, in Bal-
timore county, known by the name of the White House
district, shall be extended; and the beginning of such line
in this alteration shall commence at the premises of Eliza-
beth Ambursees, running to the Dover school house; thence
to the Baptist church, by the county road; thence to Evan
Davis' house, and from thence to Richard Stansbury's, mak-
