CHAP. 129.

cers' fees, of public dues, by the authority of this act, shall
deliver, or cause to be delivered, to such person or persons,
chargeable with the same, or left at his, her or their houses
at least thirty days previous to serving or levying such ex-
ecution, an account of the sum demanded of him, her or
them, with an affidavit annexed thereto, that he hath not,
nor hath any other person or persons acting under him,
whilst sheriff and collector, nor since, received any part
thereof or satisfaction for the same, to the best of his know-

against whom a claim shall be set up by said Thomas Per-
ry, for fines, forfeitures, amerciaments, officers' fees, or
public dues as aforesaid, shall make affidavit before any
justice of the peace of said county, that he or she believes
the same to have been paid and satisfied, it shall forever
bar the claim from being collected by execution as afore-

construed as to authorise the collection by execution of any
claim against the estate of any deceased person.

CHAPTER 129.

Passed Feb. 26,
1841.

An act to authorise the Trustees of the Methodist Episco-
pal Church, on Liberty Circuit, to hold certain property
therein mentioned.

Deed made
valid.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the titles to the property mentioned and described in a
deed from Joseph Latham to Nicholas Snethen and others,
dated the seventh day of March, eighteen hundred and
eight, and recorded among the land records of Frederick
county; and in a deed from Rachel Hammond to Nicholas
Snethen and others, dated the third day of January, eigh-
teen hundred and fifteen, and recorded among the land re-
cords of Frederick county, be and the same are hereby
made valid, and confirmed as fully as if he said grantees
had been authorised to hold said property for the purposes
declared in said deed, at the dates thereof; and the said
grantees and their successors as trustees for the purposes
therein mentioned, and such other trustees as may be ap-
pointed by the Methodist Episcopal Church on Liberty
Circuit, are hereby authorised and empowered to have and
to hold, the said property to themselves and their succes-
