the aforesaid collection, make affidavit before some justice
of the peace in said county, that the same remain unpaid,
and that he hath not received any security or satisfaction
for the same, or any part thereof, more than what credits
may be allowed thereon.

CHAP. 128.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall not continue
longer in force than the first day of April, one thousand
eight hundred and forty-two.

CHAPTER 127.

Time limited.

An act for the benefit of William Fowler, senior, of How-
ard District, in Anne Arundel County.

Passed Feb. 24,
1841.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of Howard District be and they
are hereby authorised and empowered, at their discretion,
to levy on the assessable property of said Howard Dis-
trict, at their next levy, and annually thereafter, during the
life of William Fowler, senior, and while he continues a
resident of said District, the sum of twenty dollars for the
use of William Fowler, senior, and pay the same to him or
his order.

CHAPTER 128.

Levy $20 for
the use of Wm.
Fowler.

An act to authorise and empower Thomas Perry, former
Sheriff and Collector of Charles County, to complete his
collections.

Passed Feb. 25,
1841.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the time limited by law, in which Tho-
mas Perry, late sheriff and collector of Charles county,
should have completed his collections, be and the same is
hereby extended to the first day of March, eighteen hun-
dred and forty-two; and that the said Thomas Perry shall
within said time, be allowed to complete his collections, as
fully as if the same had been done within the time limited
by law.

Time extended.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Thomas Perry,
before he proceeds to execute the body or property of any
person or persons for fines, forfeitures, amerciaments, offi-
