LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAP. 116.

election district of Dorchester county, be and the same is
hereby changed from the place now provided by law for
holding said elections, to the house now owned and occu-
pied by Richard Tall, in said district.

Inconsistent
laws repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all laws or parts of
laws inconsistent with or repugnant to this act, be and the
same are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 115.

Passed Feb. 23,
1841.

A supplement to the act, passed at December session, eigh-
teen hundred and thirty-eight, chapter three hundred
ninety-six, entitled an act relating to the Chesapeake
and Ohio Canal.

2d and 3d secs.
of act repealed.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the second and third sections of said act, be and the
same are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 116.

Passed Feb. 23,
1841.

An act to authorise Elijah Taylor, former Collector of
Taxes in the first collection district in Baltimore Coun-
ty, to complete his collections.

Time extended.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Elijah Taylor, former collector of the
first collection district in Baltimore county, be and he is here-
by allowed the further time of one year from the passage of
this act, to complete his collections; and he is also hereby
authorised and empowered to collect any taxes or balances
of taxes now remaining due to and uncollected by him in the
district aforesaid, in the same manner and with the same
powers and priviledges as are allowed by the existing laws
in such case made and provided.

Make affidavit
before collec-
tion.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the aforesaid Elijah
Taylor shall, in every instance, before he may proceed to
the collection as aforesaid, make affidavit before some justice
of the peace of said county, that the same remains unpaid,
and that he hath not received any security or satisfaction
for the same or any part thereof, more than the credits
given.
