CHAPTER 402

AN ACT relating to the transfer of certain books of record
in which are recorded certificates of incorporation and
related documents from the Secretary of State to the State
Tax Commission.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Secretary of State is authorized and directed
to transmit and deliver to the State Tax Commission all
books of record in his possession and maintained by him in
accordance with the provisions of Chapter 789 of the Acts of
1914, and Chapter 596 of the Acts of 1916, for the recorda-
tion of certificates of incorporation and all related corporate
documents of corporations formed under the laws of this
State. Said books of record, when received by the State Tax
Commission, shall be retained and henceforth maintained by
said Commission, and shall become records of the said Com-
mission. When said books of record have been received by
the State Tax Commission, it shall be authorized to certify,
under its seal, copies of such books of record, or any part
thereof, upon payment of the certification charges provided
by law.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
384, 387, 388, 389 and 390 and to repeal Sections 385 and
386, and to enact a new section to be known as Section 385
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore County
(Smith's 1948 Edition), title "State's Attorney".
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 384 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Baltimore County (Smith's 1948 Edition), be and the same
is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
