amendments to any such model or standard code shall not be
effective until specifically incorporated into such Fire Pre-
vention Code.

No ordinance or resolution shall be adopted by the County
Commissioners under the powers conferred by this section
until a summary of such proposal has been advertised in
one or more newspapers of general circulation published
in the county, not less than three weeks with a date specified
therein, giving an opportunity for hearing any protests or
objections thereto and stating that copies of such proposed
ordinance or resolution may be obtained on application to the
Clerk to the County Commissioners.

Provided, however, that no such code, ordinance or resolu-
tion shall apply within the corporate limits of any munici-
pality which has adopted or may adopt a Fire Prevention
Code from the effective date of the adoption of such Fire
Prevention Code.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

CHAPTER 376

(House Bill 476)

AN ACT to add a new section to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Anne Arundel County (Flack's 1947 Edition),
being Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title "Garbage",
said new section to be known as Section 340A, and to follow
immediately after Section 340 of said Code, and relating to
the disposal of garbage, trash and refuse along or on the
public highways of Anne Arundel County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted "by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to the Code
of Public Local Laws of Anne Arundel County (Flack's 1947
Edition), being Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title "Gar-
bage", said new section to be known as Section 340A, and to
follow immediately after Section 340 of said Code, and to
read as follows:

340A. It shall be unlawful for any person to dispose of any
garbage, trash or refuse, upon or adjacent to any public high-
