ten names to be submitted by the Baltimore Chapter of the
American Institute of Architects. The terms of the members
first appointed shall be two years and thereafter the terms
shall be four years. It shall be the duty of the Chief Engineer
to refer all major and important architectural problems and
plans concerning the construction, reconstruction and repair
of State buildings to the Board of Architectural Review, and
it shall also be the duty of said Chief Engineer and staff to
consult the members of said Board in connection with the
State building program. The members of said Board shall
serve without compensation but shall be reimbursed for any
traveling or other expenses in the performance of their duties
under this section.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
47 of Article 26 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supp. ), title "Courts", sub-title "Salaries of Judges"; and
to repeal Section 80 of Article 1 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Ed. ), title "Allegany
County", sub-title "Circuit Court", sub-heading "Judges—
Salaries"; to repeal Section 73 of Article 12 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Garrett County", sub-title "Circuit Court", sub-heading
"Judges—Salaries; " to repeal Section 116 of Article 22
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Washington County", sub-title "Circuit Court",
sub-heading "Judges—Salaries; " and to repeal Chapter 21
of the Acts of 1948 of the Extraordinary Session; and to
repeal Chapter 55 of the Acts of 1948 of the Extraordinary
Session, relating to salaries of Judges of the Court of Ap-
peals of Maryland, the Circuit Courts of the several Coun-
ties and the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 47 of Article 26 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1947 Supp. ), title "Courts", sub-title "Salaries of
Judges", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
