ward; thence in a general southerly and southwesterly direc-
tion by and with the westerly side line of Loch Raven Boule-
vard by three courses, 169 feet, 6% inches, 569 feet, 9% inches,
and 251 feet, 4 inches, totaling 990 feet, 8% inches to the point
of beginning, containing approximately 15 acres; provided,
however, that all civil process, in all cases not affecting real
or personal property of the United States, and all criminal
process as may issue under the authority of this State against
any person or persons charged with crimes and misdemeanors
committed without said parcel may be executed thereon in
the same way and manner as though this cession had never
been made or granted.

SEC. 2. And ~be> it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

(House Bill 413)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section
(p) of Section 37B of Article 87 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1947 Cumulative Supplement), title "Sheriffs",
sub-title "Compensation and Duties", relating to the salary
and allowances of the Sheriff of Prince George's County;
providing for reimbursement for use of automobile.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sub-section (p) of Section 37B of Article 87 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Cumulative Supplement)
as enacted by Chapter 905 of the Acts of 1947 of the General
Assembly of Maryland, title "Sheriffs', sub-title "Compensa-
tion and Duties", be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

37B.

(p) The Sheriff of Prince George's County shall receive an
annual salary of |4, 000 and |600 per year for operation of
automobile and f400 per year for the term of said Sheriff, the
total of which may be furnished the Sheriff when his term
commences or when the County Commissioners see fit, for the
purchase of an automobile to be used by the Sheriff or his
deputies for the general public work of the office within said
county, which automobile shall be maintained by the Sheriff
