"Cambridge", as said section was enacted by Chapter 256 of
the Acts of 1935, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
57A. The Mayor of Cambridge shall be nominated in the
manner set forth in Section 49 of this Article and shall be
elected by the voters of the entire town for a term of four
years and the first election for Mayor shall be held at the same
time as the Commissioners for the first, fourth and fifth wards
are elected. The Mayor shall receive an annual salary of
Eight Hundred Dollars ($800. 00) as compensation in full
for all services rendered and shall not be paid any addi-
tional fees or compensation for attending meetings of the
Commissioners. In addition to the powers hereinafter vest-
ed in him, said Mayor shall have the power to veto any
ordinance, passed by the Commissioners of said city. Every
ordinance passed by said Commissioners, before it becomes
valid, shall be presented to said Mayor; if he approve it,
he shall sign it, but if not he shall return it with his ob-
jection to said Commissioners; if, after reconsideration
thereof, four-fifths of said Commissioners vote affirmatively
for said ordinance, it shall become valid. If any ordinance
shall not be so returned by the Mayor within six days after
it shall have been presented to him, the same shall become
valid.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

(House Bill 115)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 62
of Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Dorchester County", sub-title "Cam-
bridge", providing for an increase in compensation for the
Board of Commissioners and eliminating certain provisions
no longer in effect.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 62 of Article 10 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester County",
sub-title "Cambridge", be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
