CHAPTER 298
(Senate Bill 471)

A. N ACT to change the boundaries between the Nutters
Election District No. 8 and the Fruitland Election Dis-
trict No. 16 of Wicomico County by extending the Fruit-
land Election District to include a portion of the Nutters
Election District.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the boundary of the Fruitland Election District No.
16 of Wicomico County as heretofore constituted be and it
is hereby extended as follows: beginning at Tony Tank
Creek the boundary shall be said Creek to the North
branch of Tony Tank Pond; thence to the run from Fooks
Pond to the road leading from Salisbury to Fruitland by
way of Fooks Pond and Morris Pond; thence by said road
to Morris Pond; thence by Morris Pond to Slab Bridge
Creek; thence by Slab Bridge Creek to Bussells School
Road; thence following Bussells School Road to the St.
Luke Road; thence following the St. Luke Road to the
Worcester County Line, and that all that portion of the
Nutters Election District No. 8 included within the boun-
daries of the Fruitland District as extended by this Act
is hereby included in and made a part of the Fruitland
Election District.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Super-
visors of Elections of Wicomico County shall have trans-
ferred from the registry book of the Nutters Election Dis-
trict all the names of the registered voters living within
that portion of the Nutters Election District added to the
Fruitland Election District by Section 1 of this Act and
shall have said names transcribed on the registry book of
the Fruitland Election District.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1949.
