Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Frederick
County", sub-title "Almshouse, " be and it is hereby
repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1949.

CHAPTER 63
(Senate Bill 103)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 81 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Reve-
nue and Taxes, " sub-title "State Tax Commission, " said
new section to be known as Section 180A and to follow
immediately after Section 180 of said Article, relating
to the selection of assessors in Frederick County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 81
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement),
title "Revenue and Taxes, " sub-title "State Tax Commis-
sion, " said new section to be known as Section 180A and to
follow immediately after Section 180 of said Article, and
to read as follows:

180A. Notwithstanding any provision in Section 180
of this Article to the contrary, in Frederick County there
shall be two assessors, who shall be selected in accordance
with the provisions of Section 180 of this Article, except
that each assessor shall be affiliated respectively with each
of the major political parties in said Frederick County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and
safety and having been passed by a yea and nay vote, sup-
ported by three-fifths of all the members elected to each of
the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
