hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
67. The Treasurer shall make no payment except by a
check based on an order signed by the Comptroller of Bal-
timore County or his Deputy; and all checks so drawn
shall bear the same number and be for the same amount
as the order on which they are based, and each order on
him shall state for what purpose it is given.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, that this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety
and having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported
by three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the
two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

(Senate Bill 356)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 27 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Crimes and Punishments", sub-title "Trespass", to fol-
low immediately after Section 286 of said Article and
to be known as Section 286A thereof, making it unlawful
to hunt with a gun wild animals or birds upon private
property without first obtaining the permission of the
landowner or his agent and providing that this law
shall be applicable to Montgomery County only.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 27
of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments", sub-title "Tres-
pass", said new section to follow immediately after Section
286, to be know as Section 286A, and to read as follows:
286A
Any person who shall hunt with a gun any wild game
birds or wild game animals upon private property without
first obtaining the permission of the landowner or his
agent shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon con-
