CHAPTER 59
(Senate Bill 91)
AN ACT to repeal Sections 684-698, inclusive, of Article
11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Frederick County, " sub-title "Railroad
Crossings, " said sections relating to the provision for
crossing watchmen or other warning devices at railroad
crossings in Frederick County.
WHEREAS, the power to require watchmen or other warn-
ing devices at railroad crossings is one of State-wide law,
thereby making unnecessary these Sections 684-698 of
Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws; now there-
fore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 684-698, inclusive, of Article 11 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Frederick County, " sub-title "Railroad Crossings, " be
and they are hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1949.

CHAPTER 60
(Senate Bill 99)
AN ACT to repeal Section 22 of Article 11 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Frederick County, "
sub-title "Attorneys' Fees, '" as said section was amended
by Chapter 509 of the Acts of 1945, relating to the pay-
ment of fees by the county to court-appointed attorneys.
WHEREAS, the general law provides adequate means of
compensation for court-appointed attorneys, making this
section unnecessary; therefore
SECTION!. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 22 of Article 11 of the Code of Public Laws of
Maryland as said section was amended by Chapter 509 of
the Acts of 1945, be and it is hereby repealed.
