CHAPTER 55
(Senate Bill 85)

AN ACT to repeal Section 481 of Article 11 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Frederick County, " sub-title "Jurors, " said section re-
lating to the selection of jurors in Frederick County.

WHEREAS, the provisions of Section 481 of Article 11 of
the Code of Public Local Laws are virtually duplicated in
Section 8 of Article 51 of the Annotated Code, thereby
making said Section 481 unnecessary; now therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 481 of Article 11 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Frederick Coun-
ty, " sub-title "Jurors, " be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1949.

Approved March 4, 1949.

CHAPTER 56

(Senate Bill 86)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 504-506 of Article 11 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Frederick County, " sub-title "Liberty, " said sec-
tions having to do with the sale or discharge of fire-
crackers in and near the village of Liberty in Frederick
County.

WHEREAS, the disposition and discharge of fireworks of
all kinds are now prohibited by State Law, thereby making
unnecessary these Sections 504-506 of Article 11 of the
Code of Public Local Laws; now therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 504-506 of Article 11 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Frederick
County, " sub-title "Liberty, " be and they are hereby re-
pealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1949.

Approved March 4, 1949.
