by Salisbury and the said The Mayor and Council of
Salisbury is hereby authorized and empowered, by ordi-
nance, to adopt and enforce all rules and regulations neces-
sary for establishing and maintaining such system of per-
manent registration.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1949.

CHAPTER 245

(Senate Bill 303)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 56 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Licenses",
sub-title "Dog Licenses in Counties'", said new section
to be know as Section 328A and to follow immediately
after Section 328 of said Article, relating to the status
of certain dogs as personal property.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 56
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Licenses", sub-title "Dog Licenses in Counties", said
new section to be known as Section 328A and to follow
immediately after Section 328 of said Article, and to
read as follows:

328A. All lawfully licensed dogs in the counties of this
State, the ownership of which can be proved, shall be
deemed personal property, said provision not to apply to
Somerset County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1949.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
2 of Article 22 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1947 Supplement), title "Post Mortem Examiners",
