dent and Commissioners may delegate to the Town Man-
ager all executive authority and administrative responsi-
bility vested in themselves.
306. The Town Manager of Princess Anne shall serve
as secretary to the President and Commissioners, and
shall keep a record of their meetings. All ordinances passed
by the President and Commissioners shall be entered by
the Town Manager in a book kept by him for that purpose,
and the ordinances or printed copies thereof shall be kept
for the inspection of the public.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Sections 317A
through 317Z of Article 20 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Somerset Coun-
ty, " sub-title "Princess Anne, " as said sections were enact-
ed by Chapter 308 of the Acts of 1933, be and they are
hereby repealed and that 26 new sections be and they are
hereby enacted in lieu thereof, said new sections to be
known as Sections 317A through 317Z, inclusive, and to
read as follows:
317A. (1) The President and Commissioners of Prin-
cess Anne, within thirty days, or as soon thereafter as
possible, after this law becomes effective, shall appoint a
Town Manager, who shall bear the title "Town Manager
of Princess Anne, " who shall hold his office at the pleasure
of the President and Commissioners, and who may be re-
moved by a majority vote of the President and Commis-
sioners as hereinafter provided.
(2) The Town Manager of Princess Anne shall be paid
for his services a yearly amount, payable in monthly in-
stallments, to be fixed by the President and Commissioners,
not to exceed three thousand dollars a year. The Town
Manager shall keep in the minute books a record of all
the proceedings of the regular meetings of the President
and Commissioners of Princess Anne as the same occur
as well as of their special meetings, when notified thereof.
He shall within six days after any ordinance has been
passed record the same fully and at length in the ordinance
book, and he shall duly and promptly record and enter in
the general record books all papers, documents, contracts,
and orders which the Charter or the ordinances or the
directions of the Commissioners require to be recorded
therein. He shall attend all meetings of the Board unless
previously excused therefrom and shall keep open the
office of the said town and be in attendance therein during
hours and days of the week to be chosen by the commis-
