and fur tanning for profit shall make application therefor
on forms supplied by the Director of the Game and Inland
Fish Commission for a license so to do. The Director upon
receipt of application and license fee of Five Dollars ($5. 00)
many issue to the applicant an annual Taxidermist and Fur
Tanning License permitting such applicant to practice the
art of taxidermy and fur tanning for profit as stated in the
license in mounting, preserving or tanning all species of wild
birds, wild quadrupeds and fish legally acquired.
(b) Taxidermist and Fur Tanning Licenses issued shall
expire on the 30th day of June next following date of issu-
ance.
(c) Taxidermists and fur tanners shall between July 1 and
July 10 of each year submit to the Director of the Game and
Inland Fish Commission on forms furnished by him a state-
ment, under oath, indicating the number or quantity and
species of furs and the county or place of origin in which
furs were taken, possessed, bought, sold, transported, shipped,
stored, tanned, or used by him during the period covered by
the last previous license. Taxidermists and fur tanners
shall also include in such reports the name, address, and
current license number of each person from whom all
furs were purchased within or outside the State of Mary-
land, the date of purchase, the quantity of each species
of furs purchased, the county in which said furs were
taken if purchased in the State of Maryland. Said reports
shall cover all transactions from date of issuance of Taxi-
dermist and Fur Tanning License until expiration of same.
Said licensee shall at all reasonable hours allow any officer
charged with the enforcement of the game and fish laws of
this State to enter and inspect the premises where operations
are being carried on and to inspect records. Report forms
shall be furnished by the Director.
(d) Applications for renewal of licenses shall accompany
all such reports.
(e) (Penalty) Any person or persons violating any of the
provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
demeanor and upon conviction before any Justice of the
Peace or a Court of Competent Jurisdiction shall be fined not
less than Twenty-five Dollars (f25. 00) nor more than Fifty
Dollars ($50. 00) for each and every offense and may be sen-
tenced to thirty (30) days in Jail, either or both, at the dis-
cretion of the Court or Justice of the Peace before whom
said person shall be tried, and in addition to said fine, shall
be fined Five Dollars ($5. 00) for each specimen of wild bird,
wild quadruped, or fish or parts thereof mounted or in
