White shad, hickory shad, and herring may be caught or
taken only with rod, hook and line using bait or lure except
as otherwise provided.

97. (c) It shall be lawful during the open season for any
resident of this State who has secured a resident angler's
license to fish by the use of a dip net in the waters of the
Susquehanna River in Cecil and Harford Counties and in the
waters of Allegany and Washington Counties, and in the
waters of the Monocacy and Potomac Rivers of Carroll and
Frederick Counties, from February 15 to April 15, both dates
inclusive, except within 50 yards of the mouth of any tribu-
tary or the brest of any dam of said rivers; provided, how-
ever, it shall be unlawful for any person to use a dip net in
any of the waters of this State which have been stocked with
trout.

It shall be lawful in the waters of the Potomac and
Monocacy rivers within Montgomery, Carroll, Washington and
Frederick Counties for any resident of this State who has
secured a resident angler's license to use bush-bobs or bank-
poles (not exceeding. a total of twenty-five (25) in all and not
exceeding one (1) hook to a pole or bob). It shall be unlawful
to use bush-bobs or bank-poles on any streams stocked with
trout.

It shall be unlawful to use any bush-bob or bank-pole which
has been baited with scale bait or live bait to catch suckers,
catfish, carp, eels, gudgeons, and all species of sunfish, in-
cluding bluegills, rock bass, commonly known as red-eye.

No person shall use a bush-bob or bank-pole except between
the hours of sunset and sunrise.

98. (a) (Creel and Possession Limits). It shall be unlaw-
ful for any person, in any one day, to take, catch, or kill, or
have in possession more than the following numbers of fish
or of any size less than herein provided, unless changed by
regulations promulgated by the Game and Inland Fish Com-
mission under authority conferred upon it by Section 5:

Trout (brook, brown, rainbow)—in aggregate.......... 10

Bass (all species)—in aggregate...................... 10

Shad (including hickory shad)—in aggregate.......... 10

Herring............................................. 10

Walleye............................................. 10

Pike or Pickerel...................................... 10

Striped Bass (rock)................................. 10

Suckers............................................. 15

Perch (white and yellow)—in aggregate.............. 15

Crappie............................................. 10
