not be levied during the tax year or years in which such
other funds are so available. The Street Lighting Tax shall
be levied, shall become due and payable, and shall be col-
lected in the same manner, for the same tax year, and at the
same time as other taxes levied on the real estate in District
Heights by the Town Commissioners.

SEC. 2., And be it further enacted, That this Act shall not
become effective until it shall have been submitted to the
qualified voters of the Town of District Heights, in Prince
George's County, at the next regular municipal election, or
at a special election to be held on such date as shall be de-
termined by the Town Commissioners of said Town. There
shall be printed on the ballots to be used at said election, the
title of this Act and underneath said title on separate lines,
a square or box to the right of and opposite the words "Street
Lighting Tax", and a corresponding square or box to the
right of and opposite the words "Against Street Lighting
Tax Kate", so that the voters shall be able to designate by a
cross mark in the proper square or box his or her decision
for or against said proposed increased property tax rate. If
a majority of the votes cast on said question shall be "For
Street Lighting Tax", then this Act shall become immediately
effective. If a majority of the votes cast thereon shall be
"Against Street Lighting Tax Kate", then this Act shall be
null and void and of no effect whatsoever.

(House Bill 143)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
214 of Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (Higinbothom's 1942 Edition), title "Harford
County", sub-title "County Commissioners", said section
having been amended by Chapter 19 of the Acts of 1947,
relating to the payment of funds to the Harford Memorial
Hospital, and authorizing the leasing of the land therefor.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 214 of Article 13 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (Higinbothom's 1942 Edition), title
"Harford County", sub-title "County Commissioners", said
section having been amended by Chapter 19 of the Acts of
