Districts", and to add four new sub-sections to Section
516 of said Code, to be known as Sections 516(q), 516(r),
516(s) and 516(t), and to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 516(p) of said Article, providing for additional em-
ployees for the Sanitary District, raising the amount
which the District is authorized to expend for day labor,
and providing for liquidation of non-self-supporting
projects.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 487, 483 (e), '512 and 536 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Anne Arundel County (1947 Edition),
being Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title
"Sanitary Districts", be and they are" hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, and that four new sub-sections
be and they are hereby added to Section 516 of said Code,
to be known as Sections 516 (q), 516 (r), 516 (s) and 516
(t), and to follow immediately after Section 516 (p) of said
Article; and all to read as follows:

487. For the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this
sub-title, the said Sanitary District, and every new Sanitary
District created hereafter, shall be under the jurisdiction
of a Commission of three educated persons, who shall reside
within a Sanitary District of Anne Arundel County, be
resident taxpayers of said County and qualified voters there-
of. The term of each of the three members shall be three
years and until their successors are appointed and have
qualified. The three Commissioners now constituting the
Commission shall hold office until the expiration of the
terms for which they were respectively appointed. As the
term of each of the Commissioners now serving expires, he
or his successor shall be appointed by the Board of County
Commissioners of Anne Arundel County. The Commission
shall appoint, discharge at pleasure and fix the compensation
of a Secretary-Treasurer; a Chief Engineer, and such engi-
neering, legal, clerical and other personnel and help as from
time to time the Commission may deem necessary to carry
out the provisions of this sub-title.

488 (e). The Secretary-Treasurer, Chief Engineer and
General Counsel shall have charge of their respective de-
partments; they shall employ and discharge all clerical,
laborers and/or workmen and other help and personnel, at
fees, salaries and wages to be determined and fixed by the
Commission, from time to time. Should any employee
employed as aforesaid be discharged, he or she shall have
