continuously reside in said town during his term of office;
each District Councilman must reside in the District from
which he is elected; each Councilman at Large must reside
in a different District from that in which resides any other
Councilman at Large; and each officer shall retain throughout
his respective term of office all the qualifications necessary
for his election, and the failure to retain all of such qualifica-
tions shall ipso facto cause a forfeiture of office.

Neither the Mayor nor any Councilman shall hold any other
office under the corporation during his term of office.

Before entering upon the duties of his office, each officer
shall take an oath that he will diligently and faithfully dis-
charge all duties of his office without favor, partiality or
prejudice. The said oath shall be filed among the records of
said town.

5. The Mayor of the Town of College Park shall receive a
compensation of $100. 00 per year to reimburse him for his
expenses in connection with the office of Mayor. Each Council-
man elected, qualified and holding office under this Charter,
shall receive a compensation of $50. 00 per year to reimburse
him for his expenses in connection with the office of Council-
man. The compensation provided to be paid to the Mayor and
Councilman shall be payable annually and be chargeable as
a municipal expense of the corporation.

6. At the first election of officers held under this Charter,
the qualified voters of the Town shall elect a Mayor
and two (2) Councilmen at Large, each to serve the
term of two (2) years. The voters within each District
shall elect one (1) Councilman for their respective districts
each to serve the term of two (2) years.

At each biennial election after the first election the qualified
voters of the Town and of each District shall elect officers
necessary to fill the vacancies caused by the expiration of the
terms for which the incumbents were elected.

The officers first elected under this Charter, and all officers
appointed or elected at interim elections, shall assume the
duties of their respective offices as soon after their election or
appointment as is practicable and, unless removed for cause,
shall continue to serve until their successors are duly elected
and installed; each officer elected at each election following
the first election under this Charter shall fill the office to which
he is elected beginning with the first meeting of the Mayor and
Common Council following his election and, unless removed
for cause, shall continue to serve until the first regular meeting
of the Mayor and Common Council following the election of
his successor.
