605G. The funds received by The Riverdale Heights Volun-
teer Fire Department, Inc., shall be used for the purpose of
purchasing, repairing, replacing, operating and maintaining
its fire fighting equipment and apparatus and the housing of
the same; provided, however, that no payment or disbursement
of any of said funds shall be made by any such fire, company
or the Treasurer thereof without the approval of its Board
of Directors. The amount and type of equipment of said fire
company shall conform to the standards prescribed by the
Prince George's County Volunteer Fire Association and no
resolution, regulation or by-law shall be passed by said fire
company limiting or restricting the territory within said
precinct of said election district within which it will respond
to emergency or fire calls.

605H. In the event said fire company ceases to be an active
fire fighting organization, or if the funds provided for herein
are not used for the purposes set forth in this section, or if
restrictive rules or regulations are adopted by said company
with respect to the area within which it will respond to
emergency or fire calls, then, and in any of said events, the
said County Commissioners shall cease to levy the said fire
tax.

605-1. The Riverdale Heights • Volunteer Fire Department,
Inc., shall give bond to the County Commissioners of Prince
George's County in a penal sum to be set by them conditioned
upon the faithful expenditure of the funds derived hereunder.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That before any tax shall
be levied under the provisions of this Act, the question of
such levy shall first be submitted to the legally qualified voters
of the Second Precinct of the 19th Election District with the
exception of those voters residing within the corporate limits
of the Town of Riverdale in a special election to be held at
the fire house of the Riverdale Heights Volunteer Fire De-
partment, Inc., on the first Tuesday of June, 1949. There
shall be printed on the ballot to be used at said election the
title of this Act and underneath said title, on separate lines,
a square or box to the right of and opposite the words "For
Fire Tax", and a corresponding square or box to the right of
and opposite the words "Against Fire Tax", so that the voters
shall be able to designate by a cross-mark in the proper square
or box his or her decision for or against said fire tax. If a
majority of the votes cast in said election shall be "For Fire
Tax", then said tax shall be levied and paid over in accord-
ance with the provisions of this Act, but) if a majority of the
votes cast shall be "Against Fire Tax", then this Act shall be
of no effect and shall be null and void,:
