To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at an election held in
the City of Havre de Grace, an Act known as Chapter 73 of
the Acts of the Special Session of the General Assembly of
1947, was submitted to the voters of the City of Havre de
Grace, for their adoption or rejection under the provision
thereof, said Act being:

"An Act authorizing and empowering the Mayor and
City Council of Havre de Grace to sell coupon bonds
of said City in a principal amount not to exceed One
Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars $150, 000. 00. The
proceeds to be used for the construction of public
roads, sewers, drainage, refuse disposal and additions
to the water supply system. "

AND i DO CERTIFY,, That at said election 646 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 73 of the Acts of the
Special Session of 1947, and 92 votes were cast against the
adoption of the said referred law; a majority being cast in
favor of the adoption of the said referred law, it has there-
fore been ratified by the voters of Havre de Grace.
