To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at the Referendum
election held on Thursday, January 22, 1948, in LaVale Dis-
trict of Allegany County, Maryland, an Act known as Chap-
ter 13 of the Acts of the General Assembly, Special Session
of 1947, was submitted to the voters of LaVale, for their
adoption or rejection, under the provisions thereof, said Act
being:

"An Act to add 40 new sections to Article 1 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition) title
"Allegany County" to be under sub-title "LaVale Sani-
tary Commission" to create a sanitary commission
within Allegany County, and to incorporate the same. "

AND i DO CERTIFY, That at the said election duly held on
the 22nd day of January, 1948, the following votes were cast:

For the Act to Create a Against the Act to Create

A majority of the votes being cast for the adoption of said
Chapter 13 of the Acts of the Special Session of 1947, the
said Act is duly ratified.
