To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, DO HERE-
BY CERTIFY, That at the referendum election held in the Town of
District Heights, in this State, an Act known as Chapter 850
of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1947, was submitted
to the voters of the Town of District Heights for their adop-
tion or rejection, under the provisions thereof, said Act being:

"An Act to increase the property tax rate. "
AND i DO CERTIFY, That at the said election duly held the
following votes were cast:

, A majority of the votes being cast against the adoption of
said Chapter 850 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1947,
the said Act has failed of ratification.
