STATE OF MARYLAND,
OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE

To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at the General Election
held in this State on Tuesday, November 2, 1948, an Act
known as Chapter 808 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1947, was submitted to the voters of Prince George's
County for their adoption or rejection under the provisions
thereof, said Act being:

"An Act to add 5 new sections to the Code of Prince
George's County, relating to the levy of a special fire
tax in certain election districts of Prince George's
County. "

The said Election Districts of Prince George's County voted
as follows:

Districts: For the Act Against the Act

Spauldings............ 1, 502 666

Oxon Hill............. 640 128

Seat Pleasant......... 1, 108 465

Lanham............... 534 169

AND i DO CERTIFY, That at said election in the District of
Spauldings 1, 502 votes were cast in favor of, in Oxon Hill 640
votes were cast in favor of, in Seat Pleasant 1, 108 votes were
cast in favor of, and in Lanham 534 votes were cast in favor
of the adoption of Chapter 808 of the Acts of 1947, and a
majority of the votes having been cast in favor of the adop-
tion of the said referred law, it has therefore been ratified by
the voters of Prince George's County.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
scribed my name and affixed my Official Seal,
at the City of Annapolis, this 4th day of
(Secretary of January, in the Year of Our Lord, One
State's Seal) Thousand Nine Hundred and Forty-nine.
