To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a special election
held in the Town of Hebron, on the 1st Monday in August,
1947, an Act known as Chapter 792 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1947, was submitted to the voters of Hebron for
their adoption or rejection under the provisions thereof, said
Act being:
"An Act to define the boundaries of Hebron, providing
for its government by Commissioners; and denning the
rights, powers, duties and obligations of said town and
said Commissioners, including the right to pass ordi-
nances, levy and collect taxes and special assessments,
incur obligations, install and maintain a water system
and sewerage system, etc., and to employ the necessary
personnel to put into effect the provisions of said
charter. "
AND i DO CERTIFY, That at said election 99 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 792 of the Session of 1947,
and 17 votes were cast against the adoption of said Act; a
majority being cast in favor of the adoption of the said
referred law, it has therefore been ratified by the voters of
the Town of Hebron.
