I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, DO HERE-
BY CERTIFY, That at the referendum election held in the Town
of Springdale, in this State, an Act known as Chapter 728 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of 1947, was submitted to
the voters of the Town of Springdale for their adoption or
rejection under the provisions thereof, said Act being:

"An Act to incorporate the 'Town of Springdale', in
Chillum Election District, Prince George's County,
consisting of two or three certain districts, and to
provide for a referendum in each of said districts on
the question of incorporation. "

AND i DO CERTIFY, That at the said election duly held the
following votes were cast:

For Incorporation Against Incorporation

District No. 1...... 100 234

District No. 2...... 117 132

District No. 3...... 67 158

Total........ 284 524

A majority of the votes being cast against the adoption of
said Chapter 728 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1947,
the said Act has failed of ratification.
