OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE
To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at the General Election
held in this State on Tuesday, November 2, 1948, an Act
known as Chapter 618 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
1947, was submitted to the duly qualified voters of the State
of Maryland for their adoption or rejection under the pro-
visions of Article 14 of the Constitution of the State, said
Act being:
"An Act to propose an amendment to Section 1 of Article
13, title 'New Counties7, of the State Constitution, re-
lating to changes in the boundaries of Baltimore City
and of the Counties. "
AND i DO CERTIFY, That at said election 139, 974 votes were
cast in favor of the adoption of Chapter 618 of the Acts of
1947, and 103, 687 votes were cast against the adoption of said
Act, and a majority being cast for the adoption thereof, it
was therefore ratified by the voters of the State of Maryland.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-

at the City of Annapolis, this 4th day of

State's-Seal) Thousand Nine Hundred and Forty-nine.
