To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at the General Election
held in this State on Tuesday, November 2, 1948, an Act
known as Chapter 505 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1947, was submitted to the duly qualified voters of the
State of Maryland for their adoption or rejection under the
provisions of Article 14 of the Constitution of the State, said
Act being:

"An Act to propose an amendment to the Constitution of
Maryland, by adding a new Article thereto, to follow
immediately after Article XIB, and to be known as
Article XIC, relating to the acquisition and disposal of
property by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
City. "

AND i DO CERTIFY, That at said election 144, 996 votes were
cast in favor of the adoption of Chapter 505 of the Acts of
1947, and 60, 326 votes were cast against the adoption of said
Act, and a majority being cast for the adoption thereof, it was
therefore ratified by the voters of the State of Maryland.
