To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I. BERTRAM L. BOONE, II, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at the General Election
held in this State on Tuesday, November 2, 1948, an Act
known as Chapter 497 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1947, was submitted to the duly qualified voters' of the
State of Maryland for their adoption or rejection under the
provisions of Article 14 of the Constitution of the State, said
Act being:

"An Act to propose an amendment to Article 3 of the
Constitution of Maryland, title 'Legislative Depart-
ment", amending Sections 14, 15 and 52 of said Article,
providing for annual sessions of the General Assembly
of Maryland. "

AND i DO CERTIFY, That at said election 197, 777 votes were
case in favor of the adoption of Chapter 497 of the Acts of
1947, and 55, 997 votes were cast against the adoption of said
Act, and a majority being cast for the adoption thereof, it
was therefore ratified by the voters of the State of Maryland.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
