To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II, SECRETARY OF STATE, OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That the referendum elec-
tion provided for under Chapter 398 of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, for the purpose of extending the
lines of the City of Mount Rainier, Maryland, was not held as
authorized by said Act.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
