OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE
To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II, SECRETARY OF STATE, OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at an election held in the
City of Cumberland, Allegany County, Maryland, on Tuesday,
March 16th, 1948, an Act known as Chapter 375 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of 1947, was submitted to the duly
qualified voters of the City of Cumberland, Maryland, for
their adoption or rejection under the provisions thereof, said
Act being:
"An Act to authorize the Mayor and Council of Cumber-
land to issue bonds to the amount of $150, 000 to be
known as 'Cumberland Playground Bonds of 1947', and
to provide for the levying of a tax for the payment of
the interest thereon. "
AND i DO CERTIFY, That at said election 3, 912 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 375 of the Acts of 1947,
and 1, 963 votes were cast against the adoption of said Act,
and a majority of the votes being cast in favor of the adoption
of the said referred law, the same is therefore ratified by the
voters of the City of Cumberland.
