To the Cleric of the Court of Appeals:

I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II, SECRETARY OF STATE, OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at the General Election
held in this State on Tuesday, November 2, 1948, an Act
known as Chapter 357 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
1947, was submitted to the voters of Dorchester County, Mary-
land, for their adoption or rejection under the provisions
thereof, said Act being:

'•'An Act to add six new sections to Article 2B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1943 Supplement), pro-
viding for the creation of a Liquor Control Board
and the establishment of a County Dispensary System
for the sale in Dorchester County of all alcoholic bev-
erages except beer. "

AND i DO CERTIFY, that at said election 3, 831 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 357 of the Acts of 1947,
and 3, 221 votes were cast against the adoption of the said Act,
and a majority being cast in favor of the referred law, it wras
therefore ratified by the voters of Dorchester County.
