STATE OF MARYLAND
OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE
To the Cleric of the Court of Appeals:

I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II., SECRETARY OF STATE, OF THE
STATE OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in
Section 203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1947 Supplement), DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at the Referen-
dum Election held at the Town of Bladensburg, in this State,
an Act known as Chapter 341 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1947, was submitted to the voters of the Town
of Bladensburg for their adoption or rejection, under the pro-
visions thereof, said Act being:

An Act to repeal certain sections of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Prince George's County and to enact
in lieu there a new corporate charter to enlarge the
boundaries of the present Town of Bladensburg, and
providing for referendum thereon.

AND i DO CERTIFY, That at said election duly held the follow-
ing votes were cast:

Ward For Adoption Adoption

I 94 46

II 44 292

III (Sunnybrook Section) 87 79

III (Villa Heights Section 12 115

IV 29 73

A majority being cast for the adoption of said Chapter
341 of the Acts of 1947, in Ward I and Ward III, Sunny-
brook Section, it was, therefore, adopted by the voters of said
Ward and Ward Section; and the majority of the votes cast
in Ward II, Ward III, Villa Heights Section and Ward IV
were cast against the adoption of said Chapter 341 of the
Acts of 1947, said Act failed of adoption in the last named
wards and ward section.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
scribed my name and affixed my Official Seal,
at the City of Annapolis, this 4th day of
(Secretary of September, in the Year of Our Lord, One
State's Seal) Thousand Nine Hundred and Forty-seven.
