To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II., SECRETARY OF STATE, OF THE
STATE OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in
Section 203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That no Referendum Election was held in
the Town of Landover Hills, in the State of Maryland, as
required by Chapter 312 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1947, said Act being:

An Act to levy a special tax to maintain a service for
the collection and disposal of garbage, trash, ashes
and other refuse, and to provide for a referendum be-
fore such tax may be levied.

AND i DO CERTIFY, That after a study of the anticipated new
revenue from the State to Incorporated Towns, the Mayor
and Town Council of Landover Hills, did not believe it would
be necessary to impose a garbage tax and no election was
therefore held.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
