To the Cleric of the Court of Appeals:
I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II., SECRETARY OF STATE, OF THE
STATE OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in
Section 203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1947 Supplement), DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at an election
held in the Town of Sykesville, in May, 1947, an Act known as
Chapter 296 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1947,
was submitted to the voters of the Town of Sykesville for
their adoption or rejection under the provisions thereof, said
Act being:
An Act authorizing the exhibition of motion pictures
within the corporate limits of the Town of Sykesville,
between the hours of 2 P. M. and 7 P. M. and after
9 P. M. on Sundays.
AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 247 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 296 of the Session of
1947, and 72 votes were cast against the adoption of said
Act; a majority being cast in favor of the adoption of the
said referred law, it has therefore been ratified by the voters
of Sykesville.
