SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 16 of Article 30 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Deaf, Dumb and
Blind", sub-title '-'Public Assistance to the Needy Blind", be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
16. (Amount of Assistance. ) The amount of public assist-
ance to the needy blind which any recipient shall receive
shall be determined by the County Board with due regard
to the available resources and necessary expenditures of the
individual and the conditions existing in each case, and shall
be sufficient,, when added to all other income arid support
available to the recipient, to provide such person with a
reasonable subsistence compatible with decency and health.
Such assistance may include an allowance for nursing or
other special types of care, as provided by rule and regula-
tion of the State Department.
SEC. 2. And l)e it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

(House Bill 80)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-sec-
tion (b) of Section 7 of Article 72 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Oysters and Clams",
relating to the size of boats for dredging oysters in Dor-
chester and Talbot Counties.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sub-section (b) of Section 7 of Article 72 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Oys-
ters and Clams", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

(b) Size of Boat for Dredging in County Waters. It shall
be unlawful to use any boat exceeding ten gross tons
reckoned by rules of custom house measurement, to take or
catch oysters by dredge in the waters of Dorchester or Talbot
Counties, except boats which were licensed to take oysters
